I love Pope Francis! He has a very special way about him. He exudes warmth and kindness and is very gentle and loving. He gets his point across, but in a way that is simple and clear. The previous two popes, St. John Paul II and Emeritus Benedict XVI were very scholarly men. They were excellent teachers and thinkers and I admired their intellects. And I'm not implying that Pope Francis isn't up to par with his predecessors in the brains department. What I am saying is that Pope Francis has made a name for himself by being very approachable. He loves people and wants to engage with them as much as possible. Whenever he has an opportunity, he goes out to the masses and kisses the afflicted and holds babies and shakes lots and lots of hands. He exudes love.
Isn't that what we find so captivating about him? He has certainly captivated everyone in the United States and I suspect, around the globe. We are very blessed to have the writings of Pope St. John Paul II and Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI for our spiritual enrichment, but we are also richly blessed in witnessing Pope Francis as he personifies Jesus Christ as a physical witness of love. God bless you, Holy Father. We are so blessed to have you as our Vicar of Christ and Shepherd of the Church. Thank you for your witness!
